Professor Tim Long is Director of the Macromolecules Innovation Institute at Virginia Tech. He spent a decade as a research scientist at Eastman Kodak Company before coming to Virginia Tech as a Professor of Chemistry. His group’s continuing research goal is to integrate research in novel macromolecular structure and polymerization processes with development of high performance macromolecules for advanced technologies, including drug and gene delivery, adhesives and elastomers, block copolymers and living polymerization, and biomaterials. He and his group have over 45 patents and 250+ peer-reviewed publications.
