Dr Gerard Clarke is a lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry. He received a Ph.D (Department of Psychiatry) from University College Cork (UCC). Gerard was a visiting scientist in the University of Mississippi Medical Centre in Jackson prior to working for a number of major multi-national pharmaceutical companies in both Ireland and Australia, including Wyeth, Pfizer and 3M. This was followed by periods working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre, as a Research Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry and as a lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology/School of Pharmacy in UCC before taking up his current position as a Lecturer in Psychiatry.
