Henderson is a pioneer and leading figure in the field of structural biology, having shared the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2017 with Jacques Dubochet and Joachim Frank for their work in developing cryo-electron microscopy for the high-resolution structure determination of biomolecules in solution.
