Dr. Shakil A. Awan is a lecturer at the University of Plymouth. Previously, he was a lecturer and director of studies at Newnham College, University of Cambridge, and senior research scientist at the National Physical Laboratory. Since 2009 he has conducted research on graphene electron transport physics, high-speed electronics and sensors for Alzheimer’s disease, cancer and cardiovascular molecular biomarker detection. Dr. Awan is a member of the EURAMET peer review panel and EPSRC Peer Review College. He has published a book on "Coaxial Electrical Circuits for Interference-Free Measurements" and over 50 research papers.
